After a successful round one in Dubai, QI-Meritus.Mahara took Indonesia by storm in round two and proved they are capable of achieving victory in the newly born GP2 Asia Series.
QI-Meritus.Mahara’s Luca Filippi had his strongest performance yet as he took the teams first win in the GP2 Asia series. Following the race, stewards ruled that the rear tyres of Filippi’s car had been allocated to teammate Hiroki Yoshimoto, resulting in the team keeping the win, but not the points.
Despite the minor setback, the team is poised for success in the upcoming race in their home country, Malaysia. The last two rounds are scheduled for April in Bahrain and Dubai.
